Enrollment Process

Starr King tours are the first step in the enrollment process and are a prerequisite for putting your child on the wait list. Tours include general information, participation requirements, walk through, question and answers and completion. We highly encourage parents to attend the initial tour without their children due to the amount of information and quick walk through of the school. We do invite you to bring your child to visit on another day. To schedule a tour, please call us at 805-966-1325. Please view our 2016 tour schedule below.

Enrollment begins in April prior to the fall term. Parents are notified of an available spot for their child’s enrollment in the preschool by a first come, first served basis. In May our membership chair will begin notifying the families whose children are age eligible to begin in the fall. Each family will be given a two week period to accept or decline the spot, at which point the membership chair will continue down the list in order to fill all available spots.

Once a space is accepted, a Contract & Admission Agreement and a $100.00 non-refundable deposit will be due. Once received, a space will be secure and you will be given an Enrollment Packet. All new families will be required to attend a four-hour orientation, at which time the enrollment packet content will be due. All enrollment forms are due prior to your child’s start date.
